My Thoughts On: the PSL

Because Alabama weather is giving me a feeling of fall today (cloudy, 82 degrees, and a slight breeze) I tried the famous Starbucks Pumpkin Spice Latte for the first time. Yes, I know I am way behind. It’s just that I never knew I liked anything pumpkin until I had Trader Joe’s Pumpkin Rolls last fall, and even then I was still weary about trying all things pumpkin. The rolls just hit my tastebuds like nothing had before and now hold a special place in my heart – along with all other things fall like sweaters, boots, and cuddling.

There it is: the PSL with all of its glorious whip cream and pumpkin pie spice. Not long after this photo was taken, I took my first sip and was happily transported to Fall-land. This espresso drink was all I was hoping for (but not more). By all means, this is one of the most delicious drinks I have ever overpaid for; however, it is not something I will go back for each day of fall to get it before it is gone.

If you are searching for your intro to fall, this is it! Starbucks has other items on its fall menu including the Salted Caramel Mocha Frapp, a very interesting Chile Mocha, the  Caramelized Apple Pound Cake, Pumpkin Cream Cheese Muffin (who doesn’t love anything with cream cheese), and a Pumpkin Scone. I paired my latte with my favorite hot breakfast sandwhich (the Turkey Bacon, Egg, and Cheese) and started my Monday morning off right.
