My Favorites: from the Emmys Red Carpet

This past weekend I traveled back home to Arkansas for a friends wedding and to spend time with family. The wedding ceremony was outdoors overlooking a lake, the guests sat in white chairs, the bridal party looked fabulous in v-neck black dresses, and the bride was beyond gorgeous in a mermaid gown. After the vows, we got to eat from a mexican buffet and choose between a gold cake or a cake topped with chocolate covered strawberries – sound delicious? It was! We had a great time on the dance floor while adorned with glow sticks and finally sent off the newly-weds with sparklers.

Enough about the wedding even though I could talk about it all day. When I got back to Tuscaloosa, I turned on the tv just in time to catch the Emmys Redcarpet event. Emilia Clarke’s Versace gown had the most unique neckline that not everyone can pull off – but she did fabulously. No one can wear a strapless, fitted gown with cutouts while pregnant other than the incredible Kerry Washington. And Kristen Bell’s whimsical floral gown with that plunging neckline is to die for (designed by the Zuhair Murad who is one of my favorite gown designers). Everyone looked stunning, but these ladies were by far the best dressed (in my opinion). The necklines, cut outs, and florals made my heart whirl; take a look.
