Hi, first off I want to thank you for stopping by Doodle and Denim. Please, take your shoes off, grab a glass of wine (or whatever you drink), get comfortable, and take a look around.
I was raised in small town Arkansas but I am currently living in Tuscaloosa, Alabama with my cockapoo Dixie. I am a student at the University of Alabama, a member of Zeta Tau Alpha, and studying Fashion Merchandising and minoring in Entreprenuership.

I first got the idea to start a blog way back when but never had the guts to do it. Once I started, I expected it to be fabulous. I wanted hundreds of views and comments, and I wanted to see my posts being shared all over social media. However, that didn’t happen. I got really discouraged and quit posting. It took a few months, but I realized I missed blogging. I missed thinking of post ideas and seeing them live on Doodle and Denim. I decided to make my blog less “strict.” Instead of scheduling posts, I wanted to write when inspiration struck and I actually had something to write about. So, now Doodle and Denim is back and hopefully better than before.
Back to the story of how Doodle and Denim got started:
I struggled with launching my blog because every thing I read said, “you need to find your niche.” Well y’all, I don’t have a niche and I think that is okay. Doodle and Denim is a blog for the person that wishes they could cook, likes DIY projects, wants to be a fashionista, tries to be healthy and fit, and wants their Pinterest boards to be real life.
Please remember that by no means am I a pro at this; I’ve just started and have a lot of learning to do. This is my hobby, and I will do my best to keep it consistent — but life is never consistent. However, if you’d like to follow me on my journey through life as a 20-something year old, or if you fit the description above (maybe even a little of it), please subscribe to e-mail updates.
